In this episode:
Relationships are funny in that they reflect how we were raised and who we are today. Sister relationships can be fragile and empowering at the same time. Today in this podcast I interviewed the most important woman in my life right now, my sister. We were raised close and remain that way to this very day. As children we slept together, ate together, and held each other during the most difficult time in our lives, the day we lost our beautiful, lively, and compassionate 32-year-old mother to Cancer. Traumatic as it was, we never lost sight of the importance of loving and caring for family. After the death of our mother, I found myself being more like a mother than a big sister. My sister was my baby, my very first responsibility. My mothering mindset carried over into our adulthood, and I found it hard to loosen that hold. Our relationship took some dips and turns; and even a momentary pause, but we found our way back to a deeper more connected relationship… Grab your coffee or your tea and a tissue… call your sister and ask her to join you as you listen to this HOT (Honest Open and Transparent) conversation about Sisterhood.
